On our way home earlier, a puppy was lying on the middle of the road. I tried to avoid it by passing through its right. But then, it stood and walked towards my direction, to my right and to his left. And, as we cannot control our initial reactions, I quickly turned the wheel to my left and almost crashed on the house to the left. My mom said, "You should have hit it, or else we could have crashed!"
As I tried to get back to the road, I asked myself, was it worth saving the puppy when it could have been our lives that were lost?
Again that's very philosophical. In all honesty I would have rather you live of course, but then humane society would be defending that hitting an animal on purpose is wrong. But at least you are still alive and well, and the puppy is too. :)
ReplyDeletewell, i think it's similar to self-defense somehow. coz, what's the title says, it's either the puppy or us. And I guess no one would rather die just to save the puppy, nor kill the puppy even you don't have to.
ReplyDeleteyeah that's true
