I don't really do the inviting in Friendster unless they're really close to me, or I'm REALLY interested on that person. Most of my friends in Friendster are the ones who invited me to become their friend. It's obvious on the little number of friends I have in Friendster. I've never had rejections on my few invitations since I joined frienster in May 2004.
I met Ms. Stanford last Jan 2. I have a huge crush on her and I really bothered to check her on the net (not only in Friendster) since we parted ways on January 3. I must really have got addicted to her. She has no multiply, only facebook, but I don't have one yet. Only friendster we both have. So I didn't hesitate to invite her. Since then, I check my friendster almost twice a day if she already confirmed my invitation. It's only an hour ago now that I found out she had rejected it..
Everything's just shattered. Like a glass fell into pieces to the ground. It hurt me--her rejection maybe, not actually her. Apart from she's my crush, it was my first time to be rejected on Friendster. I guess it hurt my ego, my feelings (good thing it was just a crush, not love yet).
A forwarded SMS message came to my mind quoting Jessica Zafra, "Sure, rejection stings, but the earlier you get it, the sooner you recover from it. In the end, this is far more humane than keeping someone hanging."
Then I remember that someone I've been waiting for for years. I guess Ms Stanford is a little bit more considerate not to let me push on nothing. At least she has the decency to let me know that I'm going nowhere.
Well, it's love. It's never fair.

ReplyDeletehaha. wala naman ako sinasabing masama siya. it's the rejection that really hurt me, not her. I know she's a great person. That is why I admired her, and still admire her until now actually. She's a wonderful person I think. So rare to find someone like her. I hope someday we'll be good friends.
